3 days!

Off from work! So happy that I can sleep in and just focus on all of the last-minute wedding details~

These next few days will be filled with lots of cutting, glueing, whole-punching, ribbon-tying...

Also, just wanted to share the graphic that I designed for our photobooth pictures~

We're so close, I can't believe the day is almost here!

6 days!

I can't believe that by this time next week I will be married. These 100 days are passing by unbelievably quickly...

This weekend Will and I packed and moved most of my things, stopped by Michaels for a last few wedding craft materials, and took a brief trip to Ikea.

It's the final stretch!

10 days!

Tomorrow we will be in single digit days until the wedding! I can't believe I can already count down the days on my fingers. Honestly though, things have been so hectic and busy that it still hasn't fully hit me yet that I will be getting married next Saturday. There is still a long list of things to do, details to be finalized, and schedules to be work out, but we are almost there!

Just a few pictures from my bridal shower last Saturday taken by my friend Catherine~

Everything was delicious. These heart-shaped waffles were so adorable!

Opening many thoughtful gifts

Thank you everyone!

Love in Santa Monica

I wanted to share our latest (third) very fun engagement session with our talented photographer friend Carol Ly. We love her fine-art photography style and her beautiful treatment of color. Of course, since she is also our good friend, it was simply a lot of fun just spending time with her and her handy assistant Jez down at Santa Monica pier.

One of my favorites! Just a plain wall we walked past in the alley, but a perfect backdrop!

I feel loved.

Santa Monica Pier was actually one of the places Will took me on our first date! After dinner Will brought me to the pier and we walked along the beach and then I challenged him to game of hoops at the arcade. Of course I won.

Brrrr. It was very cold and windy that day~

I'm too far away silly =P

Aren't they beautiful? Thanks Carol and Jez! Be sure to see more of her work here

Showered with Love

12 days.

This past crazy, busy, wonderful weekend my friends showered me with delicious brunch food and desserts, lots of pink, flowers, gifts, embarassment, and prayer! All makings of a lovely and unforgetable wedding shower. Thank you so much everyone! It was a fun break from the stresses of the final two weeks of wedding planning.

I'm excited, nervous, and tired all at once.  But I have wonderful friends who freely offer help and prayer, and a loving fiance who is always reminding me that I won't be facing worries and stresses alone. We are in on this together.

19 days!

19 days until our wedding! So exciting~ After a relatively relaxing weekend to recuperate from a pretty stressful week, I am ready for the last 3 week countdown until I get married!

This weekend I:
  • Had my hair cut and permed at Etude Lounge, the same salon I also booked for my hair and makeup styling for the wedding day. My hair was getting super long since I hadn't had a haircut since the beginning of November (nearly waist length).
  • Ate a lot in Ktown.
  • Bought these lovely mugs from Anthropologie. Planning to use them to decorate the guests tables at the reception.
  • Will finished touching up paint on most of the walls. I can't believe it was just last weekend that we painted the condo… It was exhausting and we'd worked on it so much since then that it felt like it was already weeks and weeks ago. So happy about how it is turning out though, it looks really great~  Next is furniture shopping~
  • My parents put together a collection of my baby photos in preparation to embarrass me during the wedding reception...
A less embarrassing one~ Me with my furry friends!
  • Watched Disney's Mulan. Can you believe Will has never seen it?

Drama

I guess it wouldn't be a real wedding without some very real, emotional, stressful, wedding drama.

Today was one of those days. And a terribly hard lesson was learned. I just don't know how certain companies and wedding vendors stand to make brides cry.

It's days like these that makes me daydream about just eloping to somewhere beautiful...

I need to remember that a wedding is about uniting two people, two hearts, two souls before God. We don't need anything else to make that wonderful~

Succulents

I've recently discovered just how beautiful succulents are~ They have a modern and simple geometric beauty, like neatly folded origami. I also just love the soft and earthy hues of succulents. I am thinking of all kinds of ways to incorporate succulents  (aka "fat plants" according to wikipedia, how adorable) into our soon-to-be home. Beautiful color, low maintenance, a clean cut modern look...perfect!

Just love how these succulent details add a wonderfully whimsical feel to weddings

Will once received a nice pot of succulents as a gift but they fell victim too much love (watering). I have been reading up on how to take care of succulents (or how to abstain from too much care rather) so perhaps our next batch of juicy fat plants will fare better.
